Camo scratching during pump

Most pumps aren't fit very well so this tends to happen a lot. If you want to fix it you can take the forend off and file or sand the inside of it where it touches.

If you actually use a gun for what it was intended, you will get marks on it. I always look at my guns and their dings, scratches, and rubs as signs of experience. Do you worry if your wrenches get scratched? Do you freak when your hunting boots get scuff marks?

I think, if the gun functions perfectly, just view the odd wear mark as proof you are a hunter. It's a tool for hunting; hunt with it and enjoy it.

Haha, That is awesome, totally agree now...

I think some call it character.
Others may call it wounds.
If they are getting buggered up, means you weren't on here....... :) ?

I have an 870 that is 18 years old..... still functions as new... thing has probably seen 2-3000 rounds.... but man... the wood stock has taken a beating and I have that same wear mark.... I love the way it looks right now.... I have a synthetic stock on standby for when I absolutely have to use it... but until then.....

I agree with you, but its a little different with camo I think, it just looks crappy scratched up completely, with the wood it looks "rustic" lol

I think the camo looks crappy to start with. If it starts to look like it belongs to an actual hunter, it will only get better looking. Nothing indicates "rookie" more than someone pulling a pristine, unmarked cammoed gun out of the case.

Hahaha... Plus one

That being said, a gun is a tool... You buy it to shoot living things if it is a shotgun.... If you want a fancy shotgun that looks nice and smells like leather join a skeet club and have at 'er... Otherwise, the test of us want guns we can use and abuse and they come back for more...your 870 will do that scuffs and all

I've got scratch and dings all over my $1450 SX3 in camo. Like everyone says its going to get beat up. Being bounced around in a canoe, falling etc.

They are made to use!
