Alright fellow hunters, figured I'd get in the spirit of upcoming bear and turkey season with a question. What are your favourite libations for celebrating a successful hunt?

My Camp (four friends at the cottage) adopted a tradition (from the hunt camp down the road) of the successful hunter buying a bottle of Drambuie for everyone and sharing it in celebration, typically while telling tall tales of the hunt.

Any particular favourites or traditions?

There is always a bottle of Glayva at the hunt camp. Not sure how it got started as I just got hunting with these guys the last 5 years or so. Many a successful moose hunt has been commemorated with "Glayvatation" as we call it. Some of the best memories

A good single malt scotch, Speyside or Highland regions preferred. Alternately, a good Kentucky bourbon is also acceptable. Served neat of course.

Beer first to honour the animal, toast the lads and quench the thirst.
Then single malt (two fingers) neat. Love scotch at the camp
