If that camper weights in at 976 kg's then it is only equivalent to less than 1 cu yd of soil, 2 cu yd would easily be 2 T or more.

I put a Okanagan in my F150, course I had upgraded to 3/4 ton leafs in the back. Might want to explore this, or even Air bags. But if the truck is old and tired, a new ride is the.way to go.
