So with the ever increasing price of things shooting with the 308 is getting pricey. I was just wondering what kind of accuracy ( out to 500 yards) these bullets will produce. My Speer Hotcors do well enough for me and was hoping that Campros can at least equal the Speers.

Thanks in advance for the info.

They are fine for real rough plinking at closer ranges. I tried for fun during COVID when i had not much else to do. With my 700 with a IBI 26" heavy barrel with the usual suspects of powder (Varget, 4895, 4064, BLC2). The best i could do was 1.5" at 100 yds. Where as my 168gr Speer BTHP will usually have 5 in a nice leaf pattern.

If you want minute of beer tin at 100 they are fine. I didn't try them at long distances as i didn't need to.

You can get the 150gr SPBT or the 168gr BTHP from Lawry's for about the same price as the Campro.

They aren't built to close enough specs to be acceptably accurate beyond 300 yds and at that distance, six inch groups would be normal, no matter how good your rifle is.

I agree with Ruger 007

If you just want to take your rifle out to shoot rocks or offhand at the range, they are great for that type of practice.

I use them for offhand practice because it's much cheaper.

I have done pretty well with them through two different STAG-10 rifles, I can ring an 8" gong reliably at 300m. Not bad considering I did zero load development, I'm using a S/A and I only have a 6 or 9x optic on either gun.

That's hardly amazing but considering how much I'm getting from close to nothing they may work well enough for you. The biggest issue I find is flyers, it's hard to fire many rounds without one just doing its own thing...

Cam pro 223 and 308 bullets that did not make QC at general dynamics..
They rebrand them and then are sold to the public

According to what? They are not seconds, if they are the stuff that passes QC must be amazing. My understanding is Campro simply orders and packages them, just as anyone wanting and capable ($$$) of doing so could also do.

If you want an accurate and cheap bullet, look for a hunting soft point. The 150 or 165 flat base soft point will group under a minute. A FMJ has an irregular base and tends to shoot poorly.
