In case it helps, I'll mention my technique when seating primers in tight pockets in my 650 press. When I feel one resisting, I back off the handle, grab the case that the press is trying to prime and spin it about 45 degrees, I work the handle again with some pressure, and if it resists I back off, spin it 45 degrees, and repeat. Usually if I keep doing that it will go in. It works better than just going strong-man on the handle.
