Can 308 win and .223 be resized to NATO??

1950's rifle, use 1950's ammo/load data.

This would be the 'softer' NATO I talked about earlier which was used heavily in the M14's.

If you reload, light to moderate charge of H4895 and Benchmark behind a 147gr FMJ or 150grSP or 155gr AMax should do it.

Listen to what the rifle is telling you. If 308 factory is too hot, you got to load lighter.

Bingo Jerry.

The rifle was given to me and I have carefully shot exactly two rounds through it as explained, pretty much expecting the results. My intention is to possibley rebarrel it some day as I'm not too interested in it as is and its too bubba'd for a military collector. :)
