can a BPS be threaded for invector + ?

I was wondering if my older (circa 1985) browning BPS 20 ga. with a full choke could have threads cut for a set of browning invector plus choke tubes.
sure would make the gun more versatile and hopefully get me into some steel shot.
been getting varying opinions from the smithys in the Vancouver area so thought i would post the question.

If I'm not mistaken, the 'plus' in Invector Plus is only possible with a back bored barrel.

You could get it threaded for Invector chokes, but not invector plus.
