Can a Norc 1887 be modified to take adjustable chokes?

i have the short Norc 1887, get quite a bit of use out of it but the spread is awful. i was toying with the idea of taking it to a smith to have it modified to take chokes. but i myself know very little about shotguns and if thats something you can even do. as always thank you for the info and have a great day,

I don't know much about shotguns but I think if the barrel is thick enough it is possible!

It can be bored out and threaded to take choke tubes. This would prserve the looks.

Or, it could be outside threaded so a PolyChoke could be screwed on. This is handier, but fugly.

Perfect thank you Ganderite that's what I was looking for. Polychokes sounds like what I want. I've Been modifying and beating the around for a few years now and it's not pretty anyways haha

If you contact a gunsmith that does a lot of shotgun work, he might have a cheap used one available. I just bought one on ebay for $25. New, never installed.

Poly Chokes come is two styles. The short one is about golf ball sized. The longer one has vent slots in it. This makes it noisier to the side. I do not know what the benefit is.

I much prefer the looks of the short one.
