A buddy of mine has a nice stainless savage model 93 in 22WMR. I'm definetly considering buying it from him, but can I convert it to a left hand action? Is it as simple as replacing the bolt with a left hand version or is there more to it?

Any info would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Yep! The short answer above is on the money.

You would effectively have to completely rebuilt the action from sctratch.

Wanna convert it, sell it, use the cash towards buying the one you need.

Just shoot the right handed gun left handed. I do it all the time, bit of a pain in the @$$ but it works.

The original rifle is the BTVS model with the thumbhole cutout in it. I can appreciate what everyone is saying on the conversion, so let me ask this:

Can I buy the same stock in left hand, and mount the right handed action and barrel? How easy/difficult will that be? Is it worth it?

Thanks for all the great advice.
