can a win stealth become a targetrifle

I have heard about tr with and with out optics. I have a current winchester 308 stealth. Is it possible to make this gun into a good starter target rifle. I want to use aperature sights and probably a extension tube for the front sight. At the same time can this rifle be clip slotted. I am looking for a company to guild me through this project. Soon i will order a stock from Robertson, maybe Mr Robertson can steer me in the right direction.

Yes you rifle can be turned into a good starting rifle for Target Rifle just the way it is, with the addition of sights. No need to add the clip slot as TR is single shot, slow fire, single loading.
I have turned a Savage and a Rem into starter target rifles for the ORA, by adding iron sights, front sights and a rail in the stock.
Ian will lead you in the right direction for a stock.
There is no reason this rifle will not last you for years. Shoot it until you learn the game. By then you may need to rebarrel it. No big deal, you already have the stock and action platform, just have a new barrel put on.

do you think my barrel profile and twist rate (1/10) are going to be issues, I also wanted to put the tubb system in my bolt, is that legal for TR and is milcun a good place to get this done.
