I don't have the $$ to buy an equipment right now, but i'd like to try some barnes tsx 70 gr. in my mini-14. The barrel is a hart with 1 in 8 twist.

What do you guys think of that?

If somebody tried this, i'd be willing to buy a few rounds.

I believe it is against federal law to reload for anyone without the person reloading having a manufacturers license....?

The liability is high. Be carefull.

Sorry I asked, I did not know that it was against any laws... Thanks for the info Guntech..

I guess i'll wait till I can buy a press kit...

find some one with the equipment to reload...you supply the parts...and be there when its being made...that is leagel...your there to learn the art of reloading

Lighten up guys, this is just a guy who wanted to try some bullets and who does not have reloading capabilities.

I know before I started loading, I had a buddy do up loads for me, sometimes I was there to assist, sometimes I was not. But in the end, it made a reloader out of me and perhaps Pilot24 will get into the game as well if he see's how easy and fun it is.

Our gun club checked this out last summer. It is unlawful to manufacture ammunition for sale without license, not to assemble components belonging to another. We were going to get a dillon setup and have one of our members load 38 and 45 ammo for everyone. It would be legal to do this but the plan fizzled berfore it got off the ground. The one doing the loading cannot buy components for everyone, but can load other's components. It took our lawyer (a member) 3 weeks to get an answer from Industry Canada. Can't say this will help you but it's the answer we got. Mark

you can reload and then 'give' the ammo to someone. theres no laws against giving reloaded ammo to people.
and theres no laws against recieving 'gifts' of money. right right :D

I don't reload for any one else.

Reason is........ If he stuffs his barrel full of mud & snow and splits it while shooting my reloads, I GET THE BLAME, not him. Also, the one time he gets a dud will be while shooting at the biggest deer/moose he ever saw.

Not worth it .................. SC

Don't be sorry that you asked; especially in the reloading forum, the only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked. I was positive I saw a website or posting from somebody a while back that did custom bullet work for a reasonable price. Anybody else remember who it might have been or what the company or organization was???
Good luck,

Thanks, GB, the more I read about reloading, the more I want to start it. I'll maybe sell my little 243 and buy the stuff 223 and 270.

Get a Lee hand loader kit there like $23 and work great all you need are components and a small plastic hammer (Or block of wood and a normal hammer. They only neck size but if your shootin the ammo all in the same gun no worries even a Chimp could do it so you should be fine :D
