Can Anyone ID This Shotgun

Been trying to ID the shotgun in this clip from the Vietnam war. The shotguns used in Vietnam were the Win 1897 & Model 12, Ithaca model 37, and the Stevens 620 & 77E.

Its obviously not an Ithaca because it has side ejection. The forend grip doesn't make it look like its a Stevens 620 or 77E The butt stock looks a lot like an 1897, but there isn't an opportunity to see if it has a exposed hammer or not.

There certainly are many uses for a shotgun

Any shotgun Aficionado that can ID it?

I would have said the 97 also. Not quite the trenchgun format, but it looks very similar. I have to admit though, what he's shooting definatly produces far more smoke than what I shoot.

It's a Savage at was made during this war look at how the mag tube ends and is attached to the barrel .

How about a Springfield model 67F (a riot shotgun used in Vietnam also used by police agencies in the 1970's)

I think Keenora is prolly right. I double checked in Bruce Canfield's book, the forend grip most closely resembles the Steven Model 77E which was the most widely issued shotgun during the vietnam war.
