Got it from a guy at work, seems to be chambered in 38 55 and the serial number 874023. Unfortunately the hammer was damaged, thats why its not in the picture i have it removed to match it with one on Monday. The action and everything else on the gun seems to work flawlessly. The story goes that his father had the gun for hunting and on one winter day he came home complaining that the gun would only half calk. After that the gun was retired to a closet. So i got it for basically a song and it would still half calk till i removed the hammer. If anyone could offer me some info on what it is other than the obvious model 1894 it would be great.
