Hi
A few weeks back I picked up 5 boxes of 70 rounds of 7.62 Tokarev ammo made in 1954 in Yugoslavia. My plan was to pull the rounds and download them so that they could then be used in my Broomhandle, without much stress on the old thing.
There is about 8.3 grains of powder in each case, download it to 7.0 give about the same muzzle velocity as Fiocchi 7.63 Mauser loads. And even though they are corrosive, it would be nice not to have to chase my boxer brass in the grass.
The wrench in the gear box, the primers are not so good. Only half of the rounds are firing.
So I have powder and bullets, and I do have enough boxer brass, that I can reload the slugs and use them.
So I have around 340 berdan primed unused 7.62Tokarev bright brass cases. I had thought of letting them soak in water and adding them to the scrap brass box. But that does seem like a waste.
So If someone reloads berdan primers and would like them, I would let them go dirt dirt cheap. PM me.
If I don't hear anything by Friday, they go swimming, then the scrap box.
And remember, old Yugo Tokarev ammo has it's problems.
