I asked around and was told that Police Ordnance were the canadian distributors for DPMS, though when I approached them about purchasing an upper, they said DPMS products were no longer stocked or ordered in ? I would really like to build a .22 AR for use at the RA Center range, so any help in finding this kind of piece would really be appreciated. Second-hand is perfectly fine.

;)

If anyone's interested, this is what I would like:

Sup fellow building a .22lr ar to shoot at the ra center.

I just paid for one of the CZ 22 upppers that marstar sells but I got it from a guy on here for $525. now I just have to wait for my lower.

Yes. So you can put a face to aname I was shooting your USP the other week.

The rifle section is running on sunday nights again in case you didnt know. It was just me and Gus the range officer last night.

Small world!

When I have the AR, you'll see plenty more of me on tuesdays, thursdays and sundays. ;)

the last price on TSE's 2004 price list was $899 for the upper /w 1 mag.

i bought one a few years ago, and its been good. Unforunately they cone /w 10 rd mags and DPMS only have the 10 rounders. But they are the same as the colt .22 mags, so if you can find a US exporter /w higher cap mags then they can be used.

These are way nicer than the CZ and all made in the states. I usually use mines to shoot at clay pidgeons out at 100m /w my carry handle sight

and i get great warantee from TSE to boot.

i think the cz upper has a side handle...

as for the price, same reason why EoTechs cost several times that of a Hakko sight, once you put them side by side, you can tell....

If the CZ handguards didn't look like garbage (no offense intended) and had a front sight of some sort, I would definitely consider one: would you happen to know if both of my dislikes can be modified on those uppers ? I guess that's a question I should fire off to Marstar.

can you replace the handguards with regular ones?

looking at the pic of the CZ upper i would say no, i remember handling it, and the hand guard didn't seem that bad....it was the jamming part that sucked
