Can I buy scope from US?

wanna buy Leupold GOLDEN RING VX-III LONG RANGE. Found out there are $200 difference between US and Canada. Got a chance next week to go to US. Just wondering if I can buy it and carry it back to Canada? Hopefully it's not the prohibit goods to carry in.
 
Simply saying scopes are on prohibit list, however I got scopes from Cabelas when have visited Michigan.
I declared it at our customs and that was it.
 
You can buy the scope... you can bring the scope into Canada if you pay any duty and tax required...
But chances are good that you can't legally take the scope out of the US...
