Can I replace just the decapping pin on my RCBS Small base resizing die in .308?

yes. rcbs sells just the pins. i bought a pack of small pins from bass pro a couple days ago. they also had large pins.

call rcbs warrantly and they will send you a 5 pack, if your deapping rod assembly is damaged they will send a new one of those as well

I have broken the decapping pin on RCBS dies before. Sent email to RCBS, they mail a package of replacement pins, usually 5 in the package. Most of the time it is when using the hand press, it is not a straight push like with the big ram on the bench press.

A pain to be without your dies for a week or so until the new pins come.

Yep call rcbs, they sent me a free 5 pack. Also they told me there small and large pins are no more , one size only now.

I'm lucky: I bought a second SBD for the .308 to use when reloading for the M14 and it's dedicated tool head. It's doing double duty for now.

For a quick, temporary fix, you can grind a cheap 1/16 drill bit to size and use it as well.
