Regarding the handgun freeze. Does this include import of parts? I was wanting to order a stainless steel guide rod, heavier spring, and adaptor for my gen 4 glock 20 pistol, if they are available at Irunguns. The question is, is it still allowed? Trudy is firing out new legislation so fast it is hard to keep up.

Parts are not included. But that being said, I have read stories online of CBSA doing their own interpretations sometimes. Someone reputable like IRunGuns will only sell you things you can have and import

Parts are not affected in theory. I ordered guide and springs, my order is under clearance since last week. I would expect that I need to follow-up at some point.

Have a couple of reduced strength hammer springs for a Ruger Vaquero sitting in customs for over a month.
Not expecting them to move for a bit yet, some guys have had 6 month delays.

As above, there is no official restriction on the import of handgun parts at this moment. There are pros and cons to ordering direct yourself vs. having your preferred Canadian vendor bring things in. AND IRG is in a pretty unique position.

Fwiw, the latest c-21 amendments make it mandatory to have an rpal to possess certain handgun parts like slides and barrels.

So I expect import controls are coming, assuming the bill isn't further amended, or assuming it passes at all.
