I like this. When and if they get here, I will have one. I have a G20 and would love the longer barrel. Thanks for posting.
If I could afford the Nighthawk Custom Heinie Longslide 10mm, I would have that. It's in a completely different category though.

No, this is a Glock forty.

Para makes a long slide 10mm as well.

Hi Keltecfan,

I had a 6" Glock factory barrel in 10mm Auto, and hoped to fit it into a G41, so I purchased a G41. I had used this 6" barrel in my G20, Gen 3 for a few shots, but found it bulky, although it gave increased velocity over that of my G29 and G20. It also showed less muzzle flash when using BlueDOt in my reloads, and recoil felt less despite slightly higher velocity. However, the barrel diameter of the G20 barrel is 0.5mm larger in diameter than the G41 barrel, and does not fit through the slide opening at the front of the slide of the G41. The chamber section (rectangular in shape) is also 0.5mm wider in diameter and will not fit into the G41 slide.

Based on the above, I believe the G40 will be similar to the G41 in size, meaning a 5.3" barrel and not 6", and will be narrower through the slide than the G20.

Pity you missed the 6" Glock 10mm Auto barrel I sold here on GCN about a week ago.

Don't think so. if the proportions of the pic are accurate, it is at least a 6, not a 5.3.

Hi gdawg,

I had a better look at the pictures of the G41 compared to the new G40 and think you are correct in that the G40 will be a 6" barrel. This is one time where I hope I was wrong!

only time will tell. I'd be interested either way.

Announcing the G40 in 10MM and the optic ready models. Isn't 10mm expensive and not that easy to find???

Glock 40 MOS 10mm

The Kiesler Defense Police Supply posted photos of what looks like ad copy of the long-awaited Glock 40 on Facebook, and it’s not what people were expecting. The photo shows a full-size 10mm pistol with an optic-ready package, featuring Glock’s new MOS system for mounting red dot sights.

Of course we won’t know for sure if this really will be the missing Glock 40 until it’s officially unveiled, but Kiesler isn’t the only company saying the model is going to be a full-size 10mm as Weddles Gun Shop also posted information detailing a 10mm Glock 40.

Weddles also unofficially confirmed the MOS package which is expected to be offered on other full-size pistols including the Model 34, 35 and 31 as well, something Kiesler dropped on their Facebook page, too.

Optics-ready slides that accept micro red dot sights are increasingly popular with hunters, competition and recreational shooters as well as military and law enforcement users who can carry this kind of kit.

The move makes a lot of sense considering Smith & Wesson has had its full CORE series of optics-ready pistols available for two years now, and they have been doggedly targeting the polymer-framed, striker-fired service pistol market — Glock’s market.

Depends on if you reload or not.

Once you have brass the costs are almost exactly the same as loading any other cartridge.

Re brass its not more expensive either its availability myself I have over 1000 new and close to 10,000 some fired 1 - 10 times on the shelf not including my loaded rounds.
