Can rifles be imported from the USA?

If you're travelling to NY State, check out Buffalo Gun Center. They will handle all of the importing paperwork for Canadians and once all the permits are in, they'll escort you to the Canadian border with the firearm. You take posession once across. Last time I did this, it cost $100.00 for the State Dept. License.
Just make sure that the particular firearm you're interested in is legal here - the staff there are knowledgeable and friendly, but they have no way of knowing what is legal or what is not up here.
hope this helps

From Alberta Leroy's in Montana will do it as well.

X2
They have five waiting there for me. $75 for the first one, $25 for all the other ones in the same batch. Keep in mind you have to buy the gun have it sent to Leroy, do your paperwork (CFC registering, get an import licence) then send them all that with a purchase order. Once they have that they do the export paperwork, then arrange a time to meet at the border and declare them with your paperwork.
They will devide the cost of hauling your toys to the border with the other folks, usually around $150 + depending on how many folks you are splitting the cost with.
Leroy is great to work with. As long as going to the border isn't a problem then I think this is the way to go. Patience is the key here tho.;)

If it is for a rare gun or part it might be worth it. That is why I bought five to spread the cost out. If it is for just one gun I am not so sure it would be worth the hassle. Might be better to search for something up here....what are you looking for?
