Well, my wife came to me today and told me that (after several years of offering to teach her how to shoot a pistol and buy her one) that she wanted me to get her a Glock 19.

How the hell am I to argue! :D

Can someone please post a pic or two of their G19 w/106mm barrel? I'm curious as to how it looks and how far it sticks out.

I was trying to talk her into a Sig P229 but she seems to like the Glock. Feels better in her hands.

Thanks

Questar sells the G19 with a 107MM LoneWolf black oxidized barrel for $899. Just an option if you want something factory and good to go out of the case. Heres a picture.

Not that I am trying to take work away from your gun smith or anything :D

black is classic, but are ya sure? that chrome barrel gives it lovely definition. I suppose for its true purpose, CCW, definition is a bad thing hehe post pics when you get everything done!

I used to only buy the stainless extended barrels for my subs and compact Glocks. I just bought a Lone Wolf black for my g30 and it is so sweet!!

Having 12(6) I can own a real deal Glock 19 with no issues. Having said that, and generally not a fan of guns with aftermarket "stick out" barrels, I gotta say, that G19 doesn't look half bad...

My g19 with 106mm fed arms was my carry gun on a road trip to the US last summer (Utah CCW). I think it is the perfect carry gun at least for me anyways. So light and 15 plus 1 rounds of firepower I felt VERY well armed.

Well as one who sold himself out of 12(6) [yeah I'm an idiot - but I also sold out of 12(3) and 12(5)]

I have a 106mm G19 in Canada - and two normal G19's in the US -- plus one in Iraq...

The 106 looks to me rather unaesthetic - but it does not interfer with holsters or anything else (X200 light in my case)
And if I was ever in Canada long enough to shoot it -- I am sure I'd like it.

Well, I'd have to agree in a "perfect" world, not having barrel stick out would be nice.

However, this gun will be a purchase for my wife to shoot at a range, thus, it will be a range queen and purchased because it fits her the best.

Myself, I'd be all over one of the Sig P229! Not that I have anything agaist a Glcok, great gun.

Thanks for the info guys,

If you are not 12(6) how else do you own the subs or compact glocks?

You don`t !Because witha exteneded barrels they are no longer compact.
