Saw an ad for a Benelli M1 S90 for $2,199 in the firearmscanada site.

Can this be real?

I thought its prohibited isn't it?

Sure it's real. This one is either a "Field" or "Sporting Special". M1S90 are Prohib by Order #11.

The fore-end on that one is an aftermarket item. SureFire I think. An extended mag tube too.

I am not surprised that you reply because I think you know these shotgun more than anybody else in here (at least I think)

They probably meant to describe it as a "Sporting Special" which is legal to own.

I don't know what the deal is with the 7 round magazine {is it internally limited to 5 rounds?} but you can get basically the same gun, the M2 Tactical, brand new for the same or less money.

some m1 s 90 are prohibited and other variations are not.there is a list of the ones that are not on the c.f.c. website.that price seems way out of line.they can be bought for 800 dollars on the used market.i owned one for a while and liked the gun.never gave any problems although i have heard others say they had problems ejecting light loads.the front sight on these guns is ugly in my opinion.
