Hi, I visit Canada now and then and have been curios about gun laws and ranges there. Someone told me that I could go to a range and use any of their guns there under their supervision effectively renting the gun for $ 50 or so and of course paying additional from all the ammo I use. Is there some truth to this ? How can I do some 'Gun Tourism' while I'm there ?

TIA

Our club allows memebrs to bring a guest. Fee is $1.00 to cover insurance.

You can shoot a member's gun all you want with his or your own ammo.

If you know a canadian shooter, get an invite to go with him. If you don't know anyone, then you would need a rentala rrnagement at a range. I don't know of any, but they may exist.

What part of canada do you visit?

That's the same concept we have here only I was hoping since I don't know any shooters there the ranges might have a 'buffet' of small arms I could try.

I mostly visit Toronto and St Catharine's near the falls.

Target Sports center, follow the link 7.62mm gave. Great place, great people, they offer a 'familiarization shoot', you pay for ammo only (at a premium) and one of the staff members will watch as you shoot. Try the CX-4 storm, lot of fun.

Thanks Seyek & 7.62.

Target sports sounds ideal for me as I usually stay around Richmond hill, I mailed them asking if it was possible for me to shoot there and if they rent firearms for their range.

Btw any other ranges in the GTA ?
