Can we do a poll on reloading presses?

I own a Ruger in 250 Savage and find that the ammo is not all that common and as such tends to be much more expensive than the common calibers such as 308, 30-06, 270, etc.
Would it be possible to set up a poll (I am not aware that I can do this) that would contain the following? It would be helpfull in making a decision on selecting the brand.

What reloading press do you use?
Hornady
Single Stage
Turret
Progressive

Lee
Single Stage
Turret
Progressive

RCBS
Single Stage
Turret
Progressive

Redding
Single Stage
Turret

Lyman
Single Stage
Turret

Thanks

RCBS single stage, maybe with a 'partner' press in future. No experience with the others except a Hornady die set - love the seater, hate the sizer.

It comes down to how much money you can spend, but in my opinion, a guy reloading for a rifle can't go wrong with an RCBS Rockchucker single stage press.

I started off with and still use the RCBS Turret Press.
The only problem I had with it, was it doesn't like to catch alot of my small pistol or rifle primers, but its swell with the large variety.

If it ain't green it ain't a loadin machine:p

I have a Lee single as well:)

I have two single stage presses, A Lee Challenger & a Lee Classic Cast. The Challenger is now used mainly for decapping black powder cartridge cases prior to cleaning.

One Turret press, a Lee Classic Turret. I was very pleased with the Classic Cast & decided to Get the Classic Turret. Love this press.:)

Progressive, None, I had two Lee Pro 1000s but sold these after getting the Classic Turret. Nothing wrong with the Pro 1000s other than the time consuming caliber changes & the tempermental primer feed design. I also wanted a heavier more smooth running press.

For shot shell reloading I have MEC 600 Jrs in 12 & 20 ga. Also a MEC 9000G progressive in 12ga.

there's a LOT of us that have more than or 2- on the one table alone i have 4- a dillon550, 3 lee 1000, and a turret- on the other table a loadmaster, but i could fit in another , if i was so inclined- it's just EASIER to have a whole press dedicated to 1 caliber than to switch

Started with a Lee Loader, which in my opinion is the best tool for a beginner (only one adjustment, seating dept ) and is cheap. Then I got a single stage ( Lee Reloader) but I use both. I must say that I reload very low volumes of ammo, mainly for my 6.5x55.

Rockchucker Supreme 11 - for rifle

Dillon 550 with Case Feeder for pistol

Both presses will last a lifetime or two. The Dillon 550 with a case feeder attached makes it very difficult to load rifle as the case feeder is only designed for pistol. To load rifle again on the 550 you have to remove the base of the case feeder which is more trouble than what it is worth.

Take Care

Bob

I have a MEC progressive for shotshell and like it. But the re-loading of rifle and handgun ammo strikes me as requiring more technical precision.

It really isn't that much more technical, unless you start getting really picky with precision loads. For normal hunting loads, and what most would use a rifle or handgun for its quite easy. Jesus... Even I can do it. If I can, you can.

Lee single stage "C" press. $39 :D Just call me "el cheapo"
Maybe in the future if I start reloading for other calibers...right now it will be 100 rnds at a time for my .204

Hornady Lock-N-Load AP. Works for me. I had an old Lee Load-all shotgun shell press, and I vowed to buy the press I thought I would EVENTUALLY need. So i went big, but proably could do with less.

I have two single stage presses mounted on my reloading bench. One is a Bonanza (now Forster) Co-Ax, the other a RCBS Rockchucker. Probably will invest in a Hornady Lock-n-load for handgun use shortly. Eagleye.
