I've gotten hold of a Bushnell Banner 3X9. It comes from an estate of a hometown gunsmith and is new. I've lost the box and was wondering if the scope was one of the better Japanese made or Chinese made. The numbers are large and the dials are white with black numbers. I think it came from stock purchased before 1985.

quite possibly sounds like a "scopechief" to me...they were, and still are in my opinion, very good optics....I could be wrong though,does it say Banner right on it?
