Can you identify this barrel?

I had a old pistol barrel given to me by a friend. It looks to be in really good shape (maybe new). It has been in a old parts bin for a long time.

Can you identy the model of pistol it is for?

What would this be worth?

Looks like a barrel from a SW hand ejector model. The front blade sight is very distinctive.

Going by the finish and caliber I would guess it is from a S&W victory model.

or a smith and wesson victory model. It really does look new though.

S&W Victory Model Barrel, 5 inch, .38S&W $30.00

Original WWII Smith and Wesson M&P Victory Model 5 inch barrel, Caliber .38S&W.

These 5 inch long barrels are new in the wrap.
They were made here in the USA as spare parts and delivered during WWII to British Commonwealth Forces.
They are marked 38S&W caliber and were intended for military issue S&W "K" frame revolvers chambered for the British .38 MKII revolver ammunition.
