I picked up this Zoli shotgun in the mid 80's, here in Canada (Ottawa). 5 shot 3inch 12 guage 19 inch barrel. I was told upon purchase that it was used by the Italian police. Ive recently become very curious about it as I cannot find another like it. it appears to have been modified and I would like to know if it was made this way from the Factory or modified from someone else. I would also like to know its estimated value if that is possible.

The images are from my cell phone..apologies, it was not a little more clear.
Your help is appreciated.

I took a pic of the stamp but my phones res was too lame. Its stamped ZOLI..I believe Antonio Zoli group, thats all thats on it. Its perplexing. My friend verified its not a Knockoff and indeed a Zoli. Some police departments modify guns, perhaps this was the case. Otherwise, who would take a relatively pricey gun, modify it for personal use, also lowering its cost.

Problem solved...somewhat..its Angelo Zoli..not Antonio, different companies. Angelo is out of business
Does anyone have information on Angelo Zoli?

This is lame, but I'm feeling lazy today. This from Blue Book:

Previous manufacturer located in Brescia, Italy. Previously imported and distributed exclusively by Angelo Zoli USA located in Addison, IL. Mfg. 1985-87.

Angelo Zoli went out of business in December, 1987 and was taken over by the Italian Bank of Brescia in 1989. Many people tend to confuse the shotguns of Angelo and Antonio Zoli (it is hard to determine which manufacturer made a gun marked "A. Zoli"). There is no correlation between these trademarks and Antonio Zoli DOES NOT have parts for these earlier Angelo Zoli long arms. Even though both trademarks may indicate "A. ZOLI" for a barrel address, they are mostly discernable by the model listings under both headings in this section.

There is a lot of confusion regarding the Zoli shotguns, especially whit the models marked "Brescia".

Antonio Zoli Website; http://www.zoli.it/ but they don't make pump shotguns.

Angelo made some until he went bankrupt in 1987.

Here the specs;
12ga, 3 inches

Models were;
Riot,
Field,
Deer (slug)
Hunter - with multi chokes.

I have a sidelock marked Zoli & Figli. From what I have read he was Angelo and Antonio's father. Don't know much about Figli though.

Angelo Zoli started his company in 1945. Hew sold his company to his son who is now the owner of the company, is Paolo.

Antonio Zoli was not in business for a very long time, he was making lower end (not "cheap" though - we can say "popular") shotguns while the "other" Zoli was (and still is) making high end firearms.

They must be from the same large familly, but were/are not directly related (like brother/father).

Actually I think you have your Zoli's mixed up. It is Antonio who is still making the high end guns.

Yes..its Antonio whos still in business and yes its hella confusing. I looked in the blue book on google but its a partial listing for Angelo Zoli guns. If anyone has access to the blue book and has a sec...could u see what other pumps are listed. I just need the names. I would appreciate it muchly and we would all be better informed because of it.
That zoli of mine is a fun little gun and very reliable. Ive had a lot of fun w/ it over the years.
BTW....thanks all for posting...its very helpful:)

You're right, I mixed them above. That's what happens when you do such things at work between two telephone calls...

Anyways, Antonio is now passed away, his son Paolo takes care of everything. So, Zoli & Figli is of the pre-ownership-transfer era.
Italians are right now in the boiling mode and they started buying and expanding (I, myself, work for an Italian Co, who are developping lots of new products and are getting more aggressive on the international market).
Get ready for more high quality stuff coming to our shore in the next ten, fifteen years.

So will be the Spanish, from the Basque Country, who are capable of very good quality guns. But it will be in a much less amplitude.

Puer, look above, I listed all the pump models of Angelo.

Mucho thanko:)
I was looking for the particular model of my gun, they have a riot gun named "Street cleaner" that might be mine, i got mine in the mid 80's..when I turned 16..so it was prolly 1986 when i got it..possibly 87.

In my 2004 Standard Book of Gun Values the only Zoli to have a slide action shotgun is Angelo. It is listed as a 12 gauge magnum produced with a variety of barrel lengths, detachable choke tubes, and a walnut stock. No model name or number is listed. Values are:
NIB $400, Exc. $300, V.G. $250, Good $200, Fair $150, and Poor $100
Hope this helps.
