Can you only apply for an RPAL by mail?

Hey guys, so I've just gotten my PAL and have my RPAL safety course coming up, but I was wondering how to actually apply for an RPAL because I don't see that option on the CFP website. Someone mentioned you have to do it through mail. So do I get the form to apply from the instructors once I finish the course?

RPAL is a weirdly made up thing by the gun community.

It doesnt exist but is referenced regularly.

I recently completed the Restricted Firearms Safety Course and received the course report back in the mail. You will receive the course report in the mail as I did.

I was told by the instructor (and reviewed online rcmp.ca/en/firearms/apply-firearms-licence) that since I am attempting to add the restricted privilege to an existing Possession and Acquisition Licence, the application must be submitted through mail. Not online, as I am not a “first time applicant.”

The application materials as I understand is similar or very close to the same as when you applied for the Possession and Acquisition Licence.

Application Form RCMP GRC 5592e, Self Photo, copy of one piece of government issued ID, photocopy of report, credit card number for payment on application form.
