I want an inexpensive but good clay trap to use on my son's acreage. I know nothing about clay shooting so any advice would be welcome.

Just going to be used occasional weekends with friends.

Any recommendations ?

Thx

Trius One-Step. All you need for casual clays. Even lets you shoot alone (a little boring, since they are all straight away from you. ;)).

By far the easiest and fastest to reset that I've tried. Effortless, fast, and one handed is no problem (ie: don't need to put the gun down).

I bought a White Quail thrower from Do-All. I really like this unit. It has a stack that will hold 90 targets and operates with a pedal that uses a basic extension cord (so you can add your own extension cords for almost unlimited distance). You can get an optional remote control for it that will operate 2 throwers (so you can throw pairs if you want). You can also buy an automatic wobbler for it that makes each target a little different (it wobbles vertically as well as horizontally). I bought mine from Cabella's with the wobbler for about $750. About $500 without the wobbler. I liked it so much I bought a second one. Its a little more expensive than the Trius One-Step but far less expensive than a club trap thrower. And being able to load it with 90 targets makes it fun for everyone, not just the shooter.
