Can you recommend Gun classes in Mississauga area....

Hello,

I am a 37 year old woman who has never even seen a gun.... and I want to know where I can take classes to learn how to hold/ shoot a gun for self defence purposes only. Can anyone recommend some classes for this purpose? Preferably in the Mississauga or surrounding area.

St. Catharines has a small pistol club called "Pinecrest" that has a new shooter night on Tuesdays. You can go and they give a basic safety course and allow you to fire a .22lr pistol.

The Grange/Target Sports is in Stouffville and they allow you to shoot several different "rental guns" of your choosing.

You can't own a firearm for self defence in canada unless you are one of those few lucky ones that has an ATC for self defence purposes. You are starting in wrong path here.
 
Hey I'm out of Erin Mills and I go to Silverdale. It's a great outdoor range and I believe they have classes this summer go to www.silverdale.com

Also, google FSESO and the website will have a list of instructors. I strongly recommend you phone the provided certified instructors. There are a few in Mississauga, Brampton (one I called was not too far from Derry/Mavis, prob over the 407 bridge), and Oakville.

Personally, if you want to get the ball rolling quicker if those are unavailable look into Silverdale (bit further away its about 45 minutes off any QEW,403, or 407 Ramp in Mississauga) or you can do it where I chose to-contact Albert Loo Sum out of a Hamilton Shooting Range.
