A beginner in the reloading world, my buddy gave me some 300 w mag empty winchester crome shells, can you reload them like brass? Can i run them threw my Lee press?

No!!!!

They are not reloadable unless you have "specially hardened" dies such as I have.....
My "specially hardened" dies are immune to "flaking nickel" and other problems commonly found with this type of brass.

Send me a PM when you have 20-30 pounds of that trash saved up and I'll drive over and take it off your hands....For Free!!!:D

Doug is just pulling your leg.

Of course you can reload them. The nickel plating is extremely thin (I have cases that started to show the brass after 4 or 5 tumblings)

Being close to the ocean, nickeled brass is a popular choice here for some as it is less prone to corrosion than unplated brass. One problem you might encounter with nickeled brass is having sufficient case neck tension on the bullet, often you can turn the seated bullet between your thumb and finger. If this proves to be a problem with your dies there are a couple of solutions. You can choose a smaller expander button or or polish the one you have until the bullets snug up in the case neck. You could choose a smaller bushing if you use a bushing die But the simplest solution is to simply crimp your loads, with just enough crimp to snug up the bullet in the case neck.
