Been a few years since I sold anything on CGN, can you still sell pistol magazines in general or on CGN? Going through my stuff I found some 10/12 Sig magazines for a Pistol I no longer have, hoping I can still pass them onto someone but with things the way they are I can't keep up on what's what. Yes I tried the search tool, no luck.

thanks in advance for any help.

From the RCMP's site:

Requirements for the transfer of cartridge magazines for individuals and businesses

"It is the business or individual’s responsibility to determine the most effective way to validate that the individual holds a valid firearms licence."

My two cents? For online sales get a photo of ID and a photo of the PAL. Some guys do a video call where the buyer holds up their PAL. Some guys go even further and run the buyer through the RCMP's verification system.

Edit for clarity: The responsibility is yours to use "the most effective way" to reasonably validate the person you are selling to has a valid PAL and you get to choose how to do that. But you do have to do it. The above options are just some of the methods used. Regardless of whether one or the other is overkill, they would all clearly show that you (MPI) did your best to follow the increasingly conveluded law to the "T" as far as I am aware. I am not encouraging initiating the "transfer of a non restricted firearm" to transfer a magazine. I know of multiple businesses that routinely run people thru the RCMP's official verification system, for sales of magazines. Sorry for any confusion that my original response may have caused to you or others.

ok thanks

If a private sale asks for my I.D./Drivers licence ,along with my PAL for a magazine lol -or a FA at that, it's a Big No from me, PAL, yes, sure. You can have my PAL info. & 'Verify' it? It does Not state a PAL check is required for a Magazine .. a magazine, that's way over & above.
Online + {telephone} Verification is for Firearms sales between individuals.

I don't think there is much to discuss here. Make sure the buyer has a valid PAL. ID is not required as far as I can see. Just do a video call, not too hard. Otherwise you are not following the conditions of your PAL.
