Forget about the tape!!! There is a little phillips screw on one side of the flashlight forend. Use a screwdriver that is small enough to go inside the hole. I screwed mine about half a centimeter past flush and the light won't pull out now unless you loosen the screw. You had me worried but even slugs and 000 buck don't budge the light.
An overdue update. I also had to grind a slot on the flashlight exactly where the old screw touched and put in a new longer screw that keeps the light from budging. I don't shoot this nearly as much as my 590A1 SPX or my 870 but I have run a couple hundred rounds through it and the light is still holding up.
I also put a little bump in every mag follower thanks to another thread. This keeps the shell pointing up enough to prevent jamming. Easier to do than grinding down the feed lips.
These shotguns are not for everyone. If you are willing to put some work in they are great.
no disrespect intended, but what does this upgrade have to do with hunting and sporting shotguns? maybe the other shotgun forum is a better place for this thread?
The nerve of some people!![]()
I didn't even notice that as I am sure the OP didn't either. I keep forgetting that they made two shotgun sections recently. Still getting used to it. I am curious to check some of the links I have posted on before the change. They couldn't possibly know which section to put them in.
"They couldn't possibly know which section to put them in."
Yes we are seeing a lot of factory Clay and Hunting guns with flashlights on them.![]()

Wrong! the OP is just trying to post an update to his thread on the forend light which when this thread was first started there was only one shotgun section.
But now since some "fudd" got so irritated that people can modify and use their shotgun other than hunting and shooting trap so they seperated the shotgun section into two.

LMAO! I still hate the division. I love hunting and I love action shooting.

Don't get me wrong I have my hunting license since early 90s and I own as many as sporting shotguns as my tactical shotties.
However, a lot of people think there is no value owning tactical shotgun and can't accept the fact you can actually do both hunting and other shooting sport like IPSC etc.
I am seriously considering take my 930 tactical plug the mag to 2 and take it duck hunting this coming fall with the meat grinder muzzle brake (door breacher) and waiting to see the face expression of those fudds (LOL).
