Looking to grab some extra mags for my rifle...how do Canada Ammo's ones hold up/compare? I see there is 3 options for materials used in them...which one is the best?

Anyone have any pics of them? Do they also have the side tab to lock together extra magazines?

Thanks,

- J

I bought a few of the semi transparent mags. I believe they are made of the same stuff as the original mags. The side clips work well, and they run well in the gun. The only down side I have seen is that they are pinned a little shallow, making the 5th round a little tight, and the mags are then difficult to load on a closed bolt. However for 1/3 the price, they are very much a good buy.

I have 10 magazines for my SAN rifle, only one of them is an OEM mag. The rest are from CANAM, and in over 12,000 rounds through these 10 magazines, not once has there been a magazine related issue. I consider the CANAM Swiss Mags to be as reliable as OEM Swiss mags. I toss them around and they get stepped on a lot, generally treat them like crap, and this should indicate that they are quite durable as well. I highly doubt any steel AR magazine would survive the way treat these.

I have mostly the Radel-5000 (yellow ones), but I have one of each of the others as well, and in my experience, they all work the same, and I cannot tell the difference besides the obvious color.

None of the mags I have came are pinned shallow. All were pinned to 5.5 when I got them.

Yes they have the extremely bulky locking lugs attached. At least mine did before I hacked them all of ;)

I have a few of each (9 total) and they all are reliable and lock together well. I don't have anywhere near the amount of rounds downrange as Steve but so far I am impressed with all three types and would buy them again without hesitation. I have a couple that are pinned at exactly 5 rounds which is a bit of a pain in the a$$ but I can live with it. The rest are pinned nicely at 5.5 and work perfectly.
