Anybody watch this program?Its nice to see a Canadian based outdoor show-[not that I object to the popular michigan series]Any others people follow it?

We should have some way of letting the programers know we want these programs or we will lose them especially if the anti hunting/trapping crowd start being vocal and protesting the ''violence''and ''unethical''aspect[this morning's was beaver trapping-fascinating ]
 
it is better than nothing, but too much "other" stuff and not enough hunting.

plus the host taking a shot at a running caribou with a bow curbed a lot of my enthusiasm for the show.
 
I like much more that the "canned" hunts that get featured on US programs. Those guys never go away empty handed. Thomas Pigeon, on the othr hand, does occaisonally get skunked.
 
Yes, it is a pretty good show and glad to see it's made here. I had some 'issues' with the poor judgement he used in the bow hunting for Caribou episode. Some of the shots he took should never have been even considered, but overall, it is good. I'll give him this, he did respond to my 'critique' of his poor example of bow hunting ethics.
 
The show is great!!! I am so excited that finally we have some Canadian Hunting on TV today. It is the only hunting show we get. And to those of you whining about the caribou get over it!! man I don't understand hunters and how we have this need to critisize one another. He made a mistake hell he could have editted it out but chose not to. I am sure each and everyone of us has done one thing or another at one time that we weren't so proud of. It is no wonder the Anti's are able to win battles against us. Here is a guy who has put hundred's of thousands of dollars into this program and hundreds of thousands of dollars towards conservation and educationally sponsored progarms long before his show to help keep hunting around for a long time. The Caribou hunt was from his first season and he has moved on and so should you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Met & have gotten to know Thomas a little over the past dozen years.
A genuine stand-up guy, with a good sense of humour. Not above poking a little fun at himself from time to time.

Count me in as a fan ... both the man & the show.
 
the only way we will keep shows like this on the air is to let them know we want more-and not be left fighting a rear guard action after they announce they are pulling it-and you can be 100% sure the anti hunting groups are being vocal in making THEIR views known-trying to accomplish just that.The latest episode of beaver trapping will without a doubt bring them a storm of ''protest''
 
I like the show, I get it on wild tv.

I had to switch from the dish to digital cable to get wildtv but its worth it.

(I was going to switch anyways because Bell Canada outsourced it Customer service call center to Pakistan or India or some ####hole like that)

Yes Dear!! I guess if 'the two of you' can write off that error of judgement to 'first year stupidity', so will I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rolleyes:
 
I'm also a fan- in fact I sat with my two year old daughter and we watched a nice Doe humanely taken by crossbow.
No issues with that at all, period! Hunting is real life, natural and right- I'd rather have her watch hunting or fishing than the garbage spewing from MTV and the like, which do nothing but promote teen ### and the drug culture of our twisted society.

We need more Canadian shows like this..
 
I think the show is great and Thomas is a superb Ambassador for the sport.
I posted a thread about this a while back and the Trolls were all over it. Glad to see the wannabes are gone.
 
I love the show... I ahve heard "complaints" about the Cariboo thing and the Eider Duck hunt... but we only see the highlights on TV.

Who knows? maybe Thomas had been practising a runing shot for moths before the taping. The Cariboo looked very close and if it looks close on tape then it was really close in reality. Maybe he felt very confident in his shot.
