Been doing some window-shopping for semi-auto .308 WIN rifles; so far I've come across the following options:

Benelli R1 308
Browning BAR MkII/MkIII 308
Brügger & Thomet APC 308
Crusader Arms Crux (still in development, available for pre-purchase)
CZ Bren 2 .308 (may never materialize in Canada, not sure if any ever got here)
FAMAE 542
IMI Tavor-7
Kel Tec RFB-C
Lockhart Tactical Raven 762 (available for pre-purchase)

(firearms listed in alphabetical order to forestall any perceived preferences)

Any other platforms that I'm missing? "Tacticool" or not isn't entering the equation - don't care if it's "assault-style" [heavy, HEAVY airquotes] or not. Just want a rifle that can shoot 7.62 semi-auto.

Not making value judgements on any of these firearms, just wondering if there's any others out there I haven't listed. Thanks in advance!

No, I'm not working for the CSAAA - hoping to get my hands on a 7.62x51/.308WIN semi-auto before C-21 drops.

The FNAR Competition is weird. The FNAR Heavy is the much cooler option IMO, super cool gun. Awesome if you don't like cleaning guns (it's an extremely effective piston driven system that's equally hard to disassemble). Also the Remington 742 and the Winchester 100 for traditional hunting gun options

Begs the question, which is best?

I was leaning toward the FAMAE 542, but then 4 moa is not what I was looking for...so, Tavor 7?

I got about a 3.5 moa group at 200m with a 542 and Chinese ammo the other day. Not bad, it's obviously no DMR and I still have to make sure it's repeatable.
Tavor 7s get around 2 moa from what I've seen, bullpups are nice and small but gassy.
APC308 can be found used $4-5k and I think are fitted with lothar barrels. They can go 1moa, maybe less with good ammo. Very heavy but overall seems to be an improved FN SCAR
