Hi
Is there a national organisation in Canada that runs Cowboy action shooting or is it left to individual clubs, i know some clubs.are affiliated to the SASS in the US.
Peter

There is the Canadian Cowboy Confederacy. I've been on their site but I wasn't able to find anything as far as membership applications other than corporate membership. I can't tell you much more than that. They are SASS supporters. I think that clubs pretty well adhere to the SASS rules. Some clubs aren't SASS members but quite a few are. You're best bet is probably to ask around your range to see who shoots CAS you'll find them pretty quick, Cowboy Action Shooters are the best, they will welcome you with open arms I'm sure.
Have fun!! and play safe.

CAS organization

Howdy,

There used to be the WCFSSS - Western Canadian Frontier Shootist Society, but it has been disbanded due to lack of support of volunteers.

There is still the AFS - Alberta Frontier Shootists http://www.albertafrontiershootists.ca/

Most Cowboy clubs are affiliated to S.A.S.S. in some way. The Red Mountain Renegades see this post I started on our annual match. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=430077

Hope to see you on the range soon, Rusty Wood SASS # 50427

CCC is very busy. Run by volunteers. The organization to belong to is SASS in the US, it is the governing body. We have our own Canadian territorial governors etc.. CCC encourages SASS membership. Contact CCC again, he is very busy but will get back to you. I am waiting for when I can order one of the nifty belt buckles for my rig.
