Was at range today and a guy with Benelli m4. Was complaining the Canada tire econo ammo named universal won’t properly cycle his shotgun even after 300+ rounds. They just not hot enough. Anyone else experience this

Semi auto's need full powered shell to cycle reliably. Gas actions need the power it's that simple. That being said different ammo brands and loads very greatly so experiment with them to find something exceptionable . They will wear in with usage but not that much ( many hundreds of rounds) slugs and buck shot usually will function most actions reliably .
