Hi all

I bought a IUR upper and am now assebling parts for a lower build and wanted to find a canadian receiver to go with it. I had been looking at an ATRS lower ($$$) but then satred looking a little more at Motiuk ($$) and NEA ($) and noticed Motiuk is roughly twice the amount of NEA and that ATRS was roughly twice the Motiuk.

My question to all of you is: Am I going to notice a functional difference in the different lowers? Or do you think it would be better to save a bit on the receiver and get a better trigger/more ammo to practice with?

Thanks in advance

Maybe there are still a few of them around.
I got another one from Reliable last friday.
It would go nicely with your iur.

just got my first motiuk lower. it is really nice. really dark black finish (anodizing?).
could try and contact the motiuk guys, see if they will still custom engrave for you.

An AR receiver (both upper and lower) is essentially a case to hold all of the important bits.
Assuming they are all within the standard AR specification, they will all do the job.
Some may offer additional features like providing an Ambi mag release (which would most likely be a proprietary part), or be made from billet (which in some cases may not conform to all of the standard AR exterior dimensions).
Quite often you could be paying for the name, but in some cases you are paying for additional quality control or features.

Again, assuming standards are met, you can't really go wrong with a basic AR receiver.
You can easily get caught with your pants down paying for something that is well overpriced.
