Hey guys,

I would love to build a new precision rifle but I would wanna make it 100% Canadian if possible at all. Why ? because we have a great country with great people and I want to encourage them.

So, who are the great Canadian rifle part makers ? barrel, action, stock, picatinny rail, etc...

Thx
Cheers

Robertson Composites

I tried to get in touch with Robertson Composites and never did get a response. I did some research and it appears they declared bankruptcy.
Can anyone confirm that they are back in business?

jury barrels out of red deer I would not use the other 3 mentioned they are past their prime to say the least, and yes I have shot all 3 and they used to be good barrels,

also ATRS makes some great rings, there is a guy in calgary MCRS tactical now making long range and f-class type wood stock, i am introducing a JTR f-class and a JTR FTR/Prone stock this month in wood, so lots of new and exciting things on the horizon,

please do not PM me on these stocks as they are being made at MCRS and custom gunworkx is selling them on order, I am just the design guy to make it happen in Canada,

Google
Star Shooter
he makes stocks and they are absolutely beautiful, Han my hands on a New action 3 lug made in Quebec it was over at VX Precision awaiting a new barrel install. maybe PM Ian Robertson member on site for info

Stocks:
MCRS Tactical - Have to edit this as he produces the worst product I have seen. Terrible communication, poor consistency, and late deliverables. Will not recommend or do business with MCRS EVER in the future
MDT chassis
Cadex chassis

Barrels:
Jury
Gaillard
Ron Smith

Actions:
Spartan Precision - he is doing up my next one as well as donating on to the Alberta Poker Rally. Priced very well
ATRS - the Infidel and Maverick are very nice
PGW if you can get any info from them
Cadex will be selling theirs separately but are going to be pricing similar to Surgeon (2k +?)

Bottom Metal:
ATRS
V-Bull Precision
BC Tactical

Triggers:
Trigger Tech - going to be releasing a 3oz-3lbs model. PGW using their triggers in 2015
Cadex - single and dual stage available.

I am having a Canadian build done right now using a Spartan action, Jury barrel, and Trigger Tech trigger. Chambered in 7LRM. It will be our first build on a new project we are starting to focus on building rifle using as much Canadian supplied product as possible.

Well, you can support Canadian companies like PGWDTI and Cadex Defence and save yourself all the hassle and waiting associated with custom builds. You won't regret it!

True that they build awesome rifles, but with Cadex, you get your choice of .308, .300 Winmag, or 338 Lapua.
PGW is a little bit more flexible, but still pretty limited on the overall build from what I see. Coyote or Timberwolf.
Going custom allows people to build what they want how they want it. And my 7LRM build is going to cost me the mid $3k Mark. Not the $5-6k mark that PGW and Cadex are asking. And in case anyone forgot, PGW started out as custom builds.
