Hi all,
Is there anyone in Canada who has built, or regularly does build, take down/switch barrel bolt rifles on common commercial actions like M98’s, M70’s, M77’s etc.? I am not talking about barrel nut style pseudo-switches but a ‘proper’ take down that requires no, or simple tools and that headspaces automatically on reassembly.
Think along the lines of Dakota Traveller where the action is machined to accept a slide in barrel shank into which the bolt locks, or these here http://www.randyscustomrifles.com/take_down_rifles.html where there is a means of consistently heads pacing the threaded barrel?
