I am Canadian! Just got tired of some other Forums that I've been on for awhile. I found this site by accident (can't even remember what I was looking for)...OH ya, gun barrels. It turned out to be a welcome find since it is tough to relate to alot of the American sites and issues that they deal with. Canadian content, issues and people are a welcome find for me.
I've been a reloader for about 25 plus years, hunting for a little longer and always looking for new experiences.
I live on an acreage in Southern Alberta, with my own 100 yard range, a wife that supports my shooting and no neighbours for about 1 mile.
Since hunting is over for this year, and winter coming, I will be spending some time on this site.

Welcome aboard nice to see a fellow Albertan; this is a great place to hang out and glean info as well as participate in a thread or two.

Just got back from southern Alberta yesterday - almost beat the storm front, almost.

Thank you for the welcome!

I've been on this site for more than a few hours, and like what I've found. There is a wealth of Canadian info that I've picked up (storage and other legal issues) as well as just general gun stuff!
I look forward to gaining more, as well as sharing my knowledge with others.
Again thanks, Mark

Shyf?

After a few minutes I think I figured it out...kinda slow for me.
Out of your list, the only one I have is a .308. I have an old hand me down (from my Grandfather) French made, double barrel 12 gauge. Twin hammers and triggers, side by side. The .308 is a Savage 99, accurate and fun to shoot. Have never done Restricted, and don't have much interest. I like stepping out my door, and being able to shoot! I understand that's a no-no with the pistols. My dog is my go to for SHTF scenarios, and my wife agrees. Her bite is worse than her bark ((the dog I mean)I think?)
SHTF...SHTF...I hate typo's!!

good answers, i just put them up there because it seems that all the US sites go over and over the same things over and over
much like the gun magazines really...

I used to think the same way, and in fact, still only have non-restricteds in the stable. However, hanging around here enough has caused those .357 revolvers and 1911s to start growing on me... ;)

Welcome to our club :).

Welcome aboard! Lucky you living right in the middle of chuck country. Im already jealous. Careful what you ask for though-the exchanges can drain the piggy bank real fast. Great bunch of folks to deal with. :)
