Canadian Hi-power holsters

No idea as to value but being a Hi-power lover they are nice to see. I have the 84 pattern on the far left, same as what I was issued.

no such thing as 84 pattern web gear. These holsters are getting hard to sell. Had several on my table at Chilliwack and not even a nibble. I f you want to move them the 2 on the left are probably around $50 and the others $75

Those two on the left are 64, 51 pattern, they're made of the old cotton web material. (Correction 51 not 64, the 64 had the oil bottle pouch like the later 82 pattern)
An 82 pattern holster is made out the slick nylon type of material that the other pouches were.

Third and fourth from left are 1st pattern WWII, I believe made originally for the Chinese contract HPs. They are poor holsters (well made, poorly designed) that will let the pistol fall out if not buckled down. Far right is 2nd pattern WWII and work well. In the 80s a bunch of them made by ZL&T, unissued, came on the market, so while getting harder to find they aren't rare. Many, if not most, of the WWII, especially the unissued ones, have shrunk over time and are a very hard fit. Lots of tugging and pushing to get a pistol in.

The sad truth is that you can’t buy and sell handguns anymore. Hi power owners that needed a holster, for the most part, have one or more.

If you put them on eBay, they will likely ship stateside and you may get more.

Nice reference line up of the BHP holsters Light Infantry, missing the post war Canadian green leather with webbing shoulder holster and that other totally useless holster, the Bianche UM-84.

The black leather MP holsters
There used to be a lot of them sold surplus in the Vancouver/Victora area decades ago
All mostly, mint unissued 1980’s dates and earlier
Always wondered why there wasn’t any Black Sam Browne belt with cross over shoulder straps?
Some places had the black cross over straps

This picture is from the Canadian MP museum but mine looks exactly this with the exception mine does not have the pouch on the right. Picked it up at a gun show in Spokane Washington sometime in the mid-1990's

I was issued a 9mm for AFG. Rank and role made it an easy choice. I slung mine in the Bianchi drop leg holster. When I arrived at Camp Mirage there was a table of guns and a table of holsters. I picked the least worn looking ones, and even then, had to run some wire through a pulled rivet on the holster. It did its thing and I wasn't unhappy turning it back in.
