Just came across this combat video where the C7 has multiple FTFs . Was wondering from our members in the service if this is a common occurrence in the sandbox? Problems start at 3:20 of the vid.

Way back in basic officer training (BOTC) we learned four common stoppages and how to clear them and get the rifle back running. We'd conduct drills with the Warrant saying firing, firing, firing...weapon stops...scenario #; we'd then pretend to fix it. Never experienced one myself actually firing the C7 but didn't get to shoot the weapon a whole lot due to being an Air Force puke, let alone a zero er officer. Just good training all around to know what to expect if something does go wrong.

First round, he's holding it by the magazine.

As for the rounds after that, I can't tell if he's leaning the mag on the dirt wall or not.

It made me cringe when he was shooting without making sure his muzzle was clear of the dirt wall. The guys to the side of him had much better rifle placement for shooting. I understand the desire to maintain a low profile but it seemed poor technique to me.

Yo dis video be strait up fake made by hataz. Da AR be da best army rifle yo. Maybe dis foo aint clean his gun o be droppin it all da time. Dey aint no betta rifle.

It was only a mag issue. He could of changed mags but the threat level was low at the time. In my opinion well done. Use up the flaulty mag then exchange it for a good on once in the FOB.

I'll tell you straight up. I am in the Canadian Forces and some of the guys in the CF have very little knowledge of the mechanics of their weapon systems and how to remedy stoppages properly.

If you are just a plain CF member and you are not some CSOR/JTF2 operator then the amount of range training/firearm training you get is limited to a couple times a year... LOL!

I regularly see guys resting their rifles on magazines and trying to clear a double feed and causing another double feed...

Looks, like stated before , to be a mag/feed related issue, threat level did look low so if he felt it was not that big of a deal, why should we??

That was video was kinda a snoozer, actually.
I thought all engagements were at least as exciting as "Call of Duty". My guns have never once jammed on me during a game of Black-ops.

On a serious note I would sure hate to be stuck with a 4MOA Aimpoint at those ranges.
