Buy Canadian if you guns. These shotgun shells work great in my guns.

They make steel shot for hunting as well. Wouldn't it be nice if we actually had rifle ammo made in Canada (that we could buy) for a reasonable price.

Had a little fun with shotguns.

Just be aware that they have more recoil than other brands of shells that claim the same specs. I.E. a Winchester super target 1 1/8oz 1200fps is softer shooting than a Challenger 1 1/8oz 1200fps.

I buy them all the time... steel (12 ga) loads for duck & goose, and target/grouse loads in 28 gauge. Price has generally been competitive, never had any problems with them, and I'll always buy Canadian when I can!

Started using them last year for a little bird hunting, picked up some trap loads this spring. No complaints, decent product at a fair price.

We had an ammunition maker in Edmonton called Superior Canadian Ammunition, but hunters saved 30 cents per box by going to Walmart and CDN Tire. When the Anti-gunners and the Bunny Huggers ganged up on him and found lead contamination in his driveway, he was forced to close down and had almost no support from the hunters and shooters.

They make great slugs. I'll continue to pay more to use different trap loads. During a tournament I had 12 primers blow out and burn my forearm. I switched barrels at first then switched guns half way thru. Both guns both barrels
Many skeet shooters use them on my range with no complaints until it gets cold. They sound very hollow in the cold.
Maybe I had a bad lot but I lost all faith in there trap loads

I shoot the chalenger #9 target loads for skeet. I like them. The only thing is that I'm still working out some polishing issues with my 870 and the challengers stick a bit. But when I ran some federal loads they were like butter. Still some work to do but I like the challengers because I can get them locally for cheap by the flat.

Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of distributors, if they don't distribute it to your favorite store you have to buy what is available. I've tried ordering 6-8 months ahead also, and been either screwed or disappointed by the dealer that I dealt with.

Cabelas carries them FYI...I purposely run them in my Express because the gun likes them more than the cheap Universal shells.

Can't blame you there. Hopefully it was a bad batch.

i picked up 2 cases of the challenger 20ga shot #8. cant wait to test them. i realy liked the 12gauge steel shot 2, ,im just waiting for someone in town to get some hunting loads now (i like to use shot #4 for small game)

If you chrony both loads you'll find the explanation why the Winchester crap is softer shooting.
