I was wondering how many people saw this new rifle at the Calgary gun show a couple months ago?

I talked to the guys at the Maccabee Defense booth for quite a while and it seems like a very interesting rifle and Canadian made to boot. I haven't really heard anything since then and I was surprised it hasn't popped up on CGN sooner. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures and they don't have any on their website but here's a link to their site and some details about their new rifle.

From their website:

"Canadian-Modular Rifle C-MOD V1

The made in Alberta Canada-Modular Rifle (C-MOD V1) is a multi-caliber bolt action rifle, where you can dress it how you want. We have brought together some of the brightest minds in the industry to put their years of credible experience into one design, that will changed the way you will view rifles. We have combined a lightweight 7075-T6 aluminium action with a modular, interchangeable, 6 lug, 60 degree lift bolt that mates to a steel barrel extension. The result, a fully modular, lightweight, multi-caliber platform.

To make sure the rounds cycle reliably, we've installed a proven “Sako style” claw extractor, combined with the advantages of a fixed manual style ejector. This rifle is a "semi control feed” rifle, meaning the reliability of control feed with the ability to load a single round in the chamber without having to load it into the magazine first. This gives the operator much more convenience while still maintaining flawless reliability!

Cartridge ignition is achieved using a high speed, lightweight firing pin for dramatically reduced lock time. For the icing on the cake, we use our proprietary, two stage trigger that is fully adjustable to feather weights and 100% safe to slam fire. Speaking of “safe,” a true mechanical three position safety is mounted on the firing pin shroud. This meets all standard military requirements. If our soldiers that protect us require it... so should you!

Did we mention it can be caliber converted in five minutes with one tool and the stock still attached to the receiver? Just remove the bolt, take out the firing pin and interchange the bolt head with one snap. This multi tool of firearms gives its user the choice to use multiple ammunitions while retaining one: Scope, grip, stock, sling, bipod, and case. Our rifle is designed to be an entire package, that's why when you purchase your C-MOD you have a choice of as many options as we could give.

Basically a Canadian made multi-caliber rifle with a barrel change system like Desert Tech uses. I'm excited to see how this one plays out.

This sounds very interesting. But a serious lack of pics.

I'm kicking myself for not taking at least one picture of it at the show but I thought there would be pictures of it on their website by now. The rifle they had at the show was a prototype and they said it would be a couple months before the production version was ready.
