Looks like there's still a few spots available.

Saturday 9am or 1pm start times.

Be sure to get out and shoot a 3-gun match before the next lockdown!

Above shoulders? Did something get misinterpreted?

Yes. The targets that were painted black in the middle.
They should have been painted all the way up to the neckline, leaving only the head area exposed.

We all shot at the upper torso area of these targets. (Above the painted area)
Only to find out afterwards that all of our shots were counted as misses.

I will talk with the RO on that stage, and ask him what he was saying to shooters, and what the issues were. I did hear a comment that shooters were making mistakes on that target array.

The Stage Description said:
On Start Signal with rifle engage the 4 x IPSC Painted Targets (Array A) with 4 hits each ( 2 in the upper zone***, and 2 in the lower zone***). Clear Rifle and place in Long Gun Dump 1.

***By Upper Zone what was meant was the area above the black paint, and by lower zone the area below the black paint, effectively making a double target that was challenging. It did not say Upper Scoring Zone, but I can see now how that could be interpreted incorrectly. Harder than you think to write stage descriptions that are perfect.
Did you shoot the match? I don't know your CGN handle !
Thank you
Craig

However Tom and wade (ROs) did specify 2 shots in the upper zone "must be in the head area"

HI Tommy,

Hmmmnnnn, okay I will have to have a chat with them about that!
Well if that was the only bad thing in the match, then for our 2nd match I think we did quite well.
Its a lot of work to set up and run these multigun matches, so keep in mind just trying to get staff to work for free and not shoot is tough, and we cant run the match without staff.

I do however take responsibility for any miscommunication on a stage description, and am working hard to figure out how to write them so others understand! I wish there was a course on that :)
Thank you for all the feedback

Okay good news, I spoke with Tom (RO) & Wade (Scorekeeper) just now, and everyone got the same stage description and were told to to shoot the head on the upper part of the target. So all was fair to all shooters.
It was slightly different than what I had intended, but it was still in line with exactly how the stage was meant to challenge shooters. Accuracy and height over bore.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, and I am definitely working hard on making the best stage descriptions.
Thank you Craig
