I love historical firearms and just came across this interesting firearm listed at Joe Salter's:

Canadian issued Colt Cobra revolver. This example 27484 was built in 1954. The revolver is marked C.N.E. 1010 (Canadian National Express. In the 1950's and early 1960's the CNE carried most of the currency to and from the Ottawa mint and the various regional banks. The employees involved in this were armed at that time. This Colt is mechanically sound. There is original blue on the body of the revolver and none on the butt straps. The lanyard ring was installed by the C.N.E. Bright excellent bore and cylinders. This Colt shows evidence of little actual usage but lots of carry. A Colt for the Canadian or Railway Collector.

I wish I had the prohib license to purchase this, but alas, I can just admire the pictures. The smooth grips and patina really set this one off for me --- a real working gun.
