picked up a real nice DC marked 3 band snider. just was tryin to find who had it. it has a 26 over 147 on the buttstock, and a slashed out 27 over 425 on the tang of the buttplate. just wondering if anyone had any good sources to figure out regimental stuff.

Congrats on your Snider. I recently bought my first (2 band MK III) and really enjoy it. I just bought a 460 grain, .590 diameter snider brass mold from Kerry Jenkinson and will now have to get into the casting game.

26 is "Middlesex Battalion of Infantry while 27 is Lambton Battalion of Infantry. If you would like a copy of this disc I have which has not only the Reg. #'s but also all letter abbreviations just send me an e-mail and I will send it to you as a file. Also has all Snider info. It was prepared by a deceased friend who would be pleased if I passed it on. I have checked the disc for viruses and it is clean. Dave
