Canadian source of spray-on Gun-Kote type finishes ???

Hi all,

Since Brownell's wont ship this product to Canada, does anyone here know of a Canadian source of Gun-Kote or similar type spray-on finishes ?

Go with Arma-Coat. Buddy has a PGW Coyote with KG Gun coat and its rusting through the coating over the complete barrel and action. The Arma-Coat holds up real well. I have 2000 rounds on my remington bolt and only minor scuff marks NO RUST. I shoot in rain, snow, what ever. Let it dry for a good week though after you apply it before you get rough with it.

It wasn't done right then. I have a scrap chunk of barrel we left in salt water for 2 weeks..no rust at all on the part I gun koted.
A good long lasting finish is all in the prep work.

I didn't want to be the one to say it, but I agree. I have seen Gun-Kote rust through once, but I also know for a fact that the prep and application was not done properly in that case. Almost any paint or coating can and will rust through without proper surface prep and product application.

Gun-Kote is awesome if it's applied correctly. I've never used Arma Coat so I can't comment.

It was already said, but it's important enough to be repeated. Surface prep is the key!

I have been in contact with KG and it looks like something is going to be done about it. Still super bummed about rust on my rifle though.

Wow..that is great that Joe or Chris is going to do something...I'd be ##### slapping whoever refinished it for you because they are the ones that screwed it up..
